About Kate
Kate joined our Immigration Department in January 2021. Before joining us, Kate worked as a Charity Project Manager firstly with foodbanks and then in the asylum sector.
From a young age Kate has had a strong passion for social justice and her chosen career path has enabled her to fight for social justice and provide fairness and transparency to her clients. Her work in the asylum sector has highlighted to her the great complexities and difficulties people experience in claiming asylum in the UK often following traumatic experiences in their country of origin. She saw the need for good legal representation, a listening ear and proactivity, and as a result she is now taking more training to further her legal career.
Kate enjoys working with people from all over the world, of different cultures, languages and religions; and gives importance to listening to their stories and advocating for them.
In her spare time, Kate enjoys looking after her cat and the many plants she owns as well hiking, cycling or paddle boarding. When indoors she can be found baking cakes, sampling gin or reading a good book!
Other than in English, Kate can offer advice in French, German and Spanish languages.
