Kenny Chin

Kenny was born in Hong Kong. He came to England to study and graduated from the University of East Anglia (UEA) in Norwich in 1982. After his degree, he worked in the construction industry in the Far East for 10 years. At the same time, he completed the Law Society Common Professional Examination with the University of Hong Kong and Manchester Polytechnic.

In 1992 Kenny returned to England to take the Law Society Final with Northumbria University then remained in Newcastle to practice law. He fully qualified as a Solicitor in April 1996, specialising in commercial and property law.

Kenny is also interested in education. He taught Law in East Durham Community College from 1993 to 1999 and was commissioned by Cavandish Legal Publishing to write their GCSE Law for its “Essential Book Series”. The book was published in August 2000.

From 1998 up to 2010, Kenny acted as a consultant delivered seminars and consultancy work for local Business Link and the Business Innovation Centre of Sunderland (BIC) to their business start-up clients.

For community contribution, Kenny acts as the Honorary Chairman for the Charities of North East Chinese Association and South Mountain Chinese Older Peoples Association.

Kenny speaks English, Cantonese and Mandarin.
