European Convention of Human Rights

The European Convention of Human Rights was implemented into UK Law under the Human Rights Act 1998. It offers and offer protection for those whose human rights have been breached in their country of origin or would be breached if there they were to return to their country of origin. The legislation covers a multitude of Human Rights, covering matters relating to torture, inhumane and degrading treatment, breaches of family and private life, rights of freedom of expression, assembly and association, liberty and security along with many others.
